Edward Ernest Dillinger, 78, of Bloomville, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2023, at his residence.

Ed was born in Bowling Green, on October 24, 1945 to the late Clyde and Opal (Hinesman) Dillinger. He married Betty (Bayer) in Attica on July 24, 1965 and she survives in Bloomville.

Other survivors include his sons, Steven (Pam) Dillinger of Marysville, Trevor (Clarissa) Dillinger of Columbus, eleven grandchildren, Tori (Jonathan) Moore, Spencer (Marisa) Dillinger, Lily (Calvin) Anderson, Parker Dillinger, Carson Dillinger, Max Dillinger, Hallie Dillinger, Julia Dillinger, Titus Dillinger, Marlee (Preston) Holmes and Brett (Emma) Dillinger, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Jeanne (Robert) Morrison of Winston Salem, N.C. and a sister-in-law, Charlene Dillinger of Dallas, TX.

Ed worked as a farmer, a machinist for Atlas Crankshaft and a Stihl Tech at Chatfield Hardware Store for many years. He was a member of the Bucyrus Church of the Nazarene and was a 1963 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron Dillinger.

Funeral services for Ed will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Bucyrus Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, from 4-6:00 p.m., at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will be held at Baseline St. John's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bucyrus Church of the Nazarene or Avita Hospice Care.
