Mary Penson / Pearson has been identified as the same person in the book "New Jersey, our Old Monmouth". After researching the issue, her father appears to be one Robert Pearson, Sr.. Robert also appears to have made the trip to New Jersey with his son and wife, preceding his son-in-law, John Hornor (abt. 1630-1689) and his married daughter, Mary, from Yorkshire, from England, to America, Before his death, Robert had accumulated 1350 acres on the north bank of Crosswicks Creek, to the north and west of Back Creek in Nottingham Township. He called hs plantation "White Horse". A family cemetery and other things associated with the Pearson name still exist today.

Mary was the 3rd wife of John Hornor, as well as the mother of 2 of his children: Joshua and Isaac. John was a rather wealthy man bringing servants and his family to New Jersey at one time. John settled quickly and purchased 200 acres on the Delaware River. He called his new home, White Hill, near Trenton, NJ. Though his home, does not exist any longer, the area of his home became the residence of the city's Industrial School.

John Horner and his wife, Mary, died before her parents. When her father Robert Pearson died, the best I can estimate is that he would likely have been considered a millionaire. *M.Bell
