Glenn Hanson, 78 of Sparks, NV passed away at Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, OR on April 22, 2022. Glenn was born in Fairmont, Minnesota to Glenn C and Regina Hanson on November 23, 1943. He lived and went to school in Burbank, CA before joining the Army in 1964. He became a Parachute Rigger and served in the Vietnam War. In 1968, he married the love of his life Linda and became an instant father to his son Travis and then had their daughter Kelli. Glenn then joined the Nevada Air National Guard where he served for 28 years and ran the Life Support Shop and served in Desert Storm. Over his 31 years of military service, Glenn received multiple Decorations, Medals, Badges, Campaign Ribbons and State Awards. Later in life, Glenn changed his military title to "Grandpa" or "Papa". His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and they got the very best of him. Glenn is preceded in death by his father and mother and his loving wife Linda. He is survived by his son Travis and his daughter Kelli. His sisters-in-law Kathleen (Soper) and Patricia (Durbin). Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. His grandchildren Jordanna, Samantha, Austin, Joey, and Madison along with his great-grandchildren, Izabella, Riley, and Benjamin.

A celebration of life will be held in Reno at the Nevada Air National Guard – Saturday, June 4 11am – 1 pm.
