Katherine "Kathy" Benham Burton, age 75, of Springfield, KY passed away at 3:52 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at her home after an illness.
She was born in Lebanon, KY on April 4, 1948 to the late William Ira and Mary Bell Thompson Benham.
She was a former employee of Communicare.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Jerry Wayne Burton on January 13, 2005; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Irizarry on January 27, 1999 and three brothers, Charles Avery Benham on January 29, 1940, Ronald Eugene Benham on November 3, 1984 and Billy Benham on March 30, 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Hill of Willisburg; a son, Jerry Wayne Burton, Jr. (Karen) of Springfield; three grandchildren, Ronnie Hill, Amber Burton and Aaron Burton; a great grandchild, Haislee Lyons and two sisters, Myrna Thompson (Billy) of Springfield and Debra Hernandez of Willisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Creech, pastor of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Hill, Aaron Burton, Zack Lyons, Michael Irrizary, Dewayne Thompson and Billy Wells.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Thursday and after 8:00 Friday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
