Betty met her future husband Harvey Peterson in Iowa City following the end of WWII. They were married on January 4th, 1946. Together they raised five kids, first in Minnesota and Iowa, and then moving to Tracy in 1959.
Betty worked at the J.C. Penney on 10 St. in Tracy for many years and was an active member of St. Bernard's Church and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by her many friends and the kind staff from Brookdale.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Harvey, her parents, siblings Don, Tom, John, Vince, Jim, Richard and Mary Moylan. She is survived by her children, Connie Person (Dean), Jim Peterson (JoAnne), Don Peterson (Diane), Julie Ryan (John) and Rick Peterson (Terry). Eleven grandchildren, Seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Catherine Wilhelm and Mike (Mary) Arganbright.
Fry Memorial Chapel, Tracy, CA is in care of funeral arrangements. A prayer service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 4th at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Tracy Public Cemetery.
