Alan Paul Danz, formerly of Paris France, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Alan is survived by his wife Marina Bermon Danz, of Paris, France, his father, Richard L. Danz, his mother Lorraine L. Danz, his step-mother Loretta J. Delaney of Lancaster, PA, his brother Peter M. Danz of Philadelphia, PA, his two step-brothers Paul B. Robb and Daniel P. Robb of Richmond, VA, his step-sister Katherine D. Carr of Front Royal, VA, his step-sister Susan L. Robb of Arlington, VA, his niece Astrid E. Danz of Philadelphia, PA and his three nephews Kyle A., Zachary J. and Liam M. Carr of Front Royal, VA, and a wonderful extended family.
Alan was a freelance photographer who traveled throughout Europe nurturing his passion for photography and capturing on film the beauty and intrigue of Europe. From a medieval cobblestone street in Sainte Enimie to a castle nestled away in the mystical forest of Brocéliande, he captured the wonders of the old continent.
During Alan's short life on earth he made a favorable impression on everyone he met. He was known for his soft-spoken kindness, his integrity, and his unassuming nature. He will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched.
The family gathered for a private memorial at Alan's home in Lancaster, PA., with a simultaneous gathering of his friends in Paris, France.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt. Joy, PA.
