Mrs. Barnwell died Sunday at Jacksonville Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Barnwell of Jacksonville; her son and his wife of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; three sisters, Vickie Diane and husband, Glenda Faye and husband, and Sherry Lynn (Ford) Haston and husband; a brother Tim Ford; and her mother-in-law, Alice Barnwell of Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be Michael Barnett, Jason Brooks, Brian Clay, Scott Ford, Taurean Hall, and Brad Hood.
Mrs. Barnwell was a native of Jacksonville and a member of Arrington Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. Before she became ill, she was an active fundraiser for the Northeast Alabama Bicycle Club during the Cheaha Challenge.
The family wishes to express many thanks to Dr. Russell Ingram and the nursing staff at Jacksonville Medical Center for their care.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Ford, Jr. and Betty Rountree Ford.
