"Charles Anthony Seymour, 68, husband of Eliza Beaugez Seymour, died Monday afternoon at 1:25 p.m. at his home on 29 Bowen Avenue, Ocean Springs. Mr. Seymour was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He had been retired for several years due to ill health, as a bridge tender with the L&N Railroad Company. He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Other than his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy Webb, two sons, Vincent Seymour and Lt. Charles N. Seymour of Ocean Springs; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Kostmayer, Biloxi, Mrs. Harry Eart, New York, Mrs. William Westphal, Pascagoula, Mrs. Bertha Loescher, California; three brothers, George Van Court, New Orleans, Oscar, Pascagoula, Robert, Pass Christian, and six grandchildren.The funeral will be from the residence in Ocean Springs Wednesday at 9:15, followed by requiem mass at St. Alphonsus Church at 9:30. Interment will be in the Southern Memorial Park Cemetery."
"Pallbearers were: Homer Ryan, Malcolm Beaugez, Leroy Van Court, Arsene Westphal, Ebbie Kostrnayer and John Fayard. Members of St. Aiphonsus Holy Name Society acted as honorary pallbearers." (RE: DH - Oct 4, 1951)
