He is survived by his daughter, Vicki and Craig Popp; two grandchildren, Andrea Popp and Travis Popp and his fiancé, Kalie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo; his son, Monte Axtell, and his two brothers: Howard and Gordon. He was a Wilbur High School graduate. He attended Wilbur Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Almira Farmers Warehouse and past board member. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilbur Presbyterian Church with Pastor Heather Jepsen, officiating. A Graveside service will follow at Wilbur Cemetery, Wilbur, WA. Memorials may be made to the Wilbur Cemetery Endowment Care Fund or to the Wilbur Ambulance & EMTs.
