Born November 22, 1942 in Bowling Green Ohio to the late Clyde and Ferne Smith. She worked for Franklin County Common Pleas Court system for several years as an intake officer.
Her hobby was playing the accordion and her love for music but her joy was spending time with her family.
Naomi is survived by her daughter Joan Brooks and son in-law Bill Brooks of Westerville, Ohio, son Terry Pockett and daughter in-law Beth Ann Pockett of Lewis Center, Ohio, beloved grandchildren Kyle & Allison, Colin & Andrea, and Kaitlyn Brooks, Nathan & Britney, and Sarah Poquette, brothers Dan and Jerry Smith and her long-time companion Chuck Hinson. We would like to thank the staff of National Church Residence Hospice for their loving care over the past year. Naomi was blessed with a loving family and many wonderful friends. She is now resting in peace in the arms of Jesus.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 from 12:30pm to 2:00 pm at the Worthington Christian Church followed by a funeral service. And the family will also receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 9 2017 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Bowling Green Ohio followed by a funeral service with interment at Union Hill Cemetery.
