Obituary for David Clark Miller

David Clark Miller, 76, a life long Rushville resident, peacefully passed away May 21, 2023 at his home in Rushville surrounded by his family. He was born October 20, 1946 in Rushville, the third child born to John Clark and Joanne (Coffin) Miller. David graduated in 1965 from Rushville High School & after graduation was drafted into the US Army to serve his country in the Vietnam War.
David married Monna Jo Orme on August 9, 1996 and she survives.
He worked for Dana Corporation 30 years and was a self employed truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping. David loved to sit on his front porch and visit with all the neighborhood kids. He loved the company of his grandkids, great grandkids and great niece, Ma'Kaiah.
David was preceded in death by his father, John Clark Miller and brothers, Jared (Donna) Miller & Thomas "Turkey" Miller. In addition to his wife, Monna Jo of Rushville, David is survived by his mother, Joanne Miller of Rushville, his sons, Brian (JoAnn) Miller of Milroy, Shawn (Tiffany) Miller of Rushville and Jason (Staci) Miller of Indianapolis, his stepsons, John (Jodi) Owen and Michael (Stephanie) Owen all of Rushville, 5 granddaughters, 10 grandsons, 2 great grandsons + 1 on the way, and siblings, Cynthia Finch of Greenfield, Carolyn Miller of Rushville, Sara (Greg) Mosley of Rushville, Mark "Springy" Miller of Rushville, James "Rookie" Miller of Rushville and Jean (Scott) Kopf of Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rushville Animal Shelter or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Services will be private and John Wall will preside. Burial will take place in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
Military honors will be provided by the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard.
