Sherilyn West passed away November 3, 2023 at the age of 81 in Allen, Texas. She was born October 12, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas to Victor Lee Billington and Emma Pauline (Hendrix) Billington. Sherilyn married Ray E. West on October 17, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas.
She graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech University. After college she taught school in New Deal and Lubbock, Texas.
Sherilyn is survived by her husband, Ray E. West formerly of Allen, Texas; daughter, Deborah Vanderburg and husband, Glenn of Plano, Texas; son, David West and wife, Shelby of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, James Vanderburg of Frisco, Texas, Daniel Vanderburg of Plano, Texas and Brodey West and wife, Cody of Wichita Falls, Texas; great grandchild, Bennett West; sisters, Vicky Pickering of Houston, Texas and Marilyn Brown and husband, Travis, of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive guests for a visitation on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
