Ellender, of Gladewater, was born on July 11, 1944, to Charles Wiley Owen and Alpha Mae Hearnsberger Owen and passed from this life on November 10, 2023. She married Billy Ray Holcomb, Sr. on June 6, 1962. She was the last surviving child of a family of eleven siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Belinda Greathouse; son-in-law Jerry; son, Billy Ray Holcomb, Jr. and wife, Michelle; niece, Lisa Holcomb; nephew, Charles Holcomb and wife Angela; grandchildren, Chance Greathouse,Brittan O"Neal, Sierah Maw Holcomb, Whitley Cheyanne Holcomb, and Kiana Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Stoney Greathouse, Colton Holcomb, Sage Holcomb, Aydan Holcomb, Tripp Greathouse, Judd Greathouse, Everleign Holcomb, and Matco Saravia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Holcomb,Sr. in 1997; and her nephew, Barry Holcomb.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Church of West Mountain under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Gladewater Former Students Association, or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
