Mrs. Maurice [sic] Miehm
Aged 93 years, died at her residence, Oct. 31, 1974, at 247 Franklin St., Kitchener. She had formerly resided at Elmira and New Hamburg and was a member of St. Teresa's RC Church, Elmira; she was the last surviving member of the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Eichler and was the former Bertha Eichler. She was predeceased by her husband, in 1962; also by one daughter and one son. Surviving are two sons, Arthur of Elmira, Bernhard of London; daughters Mrs. Edna Taylor of California, Mrs. Albert (Victoria) Rittinger of Kitchener, Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Gofton, also of Kitchener, Mrs. Herbert (Alberta) Greyerbiehl of Waterloo and Mrs. James (Jeanette) Fleming of Tavistock; also survived by two step-sisters, Mrs. Fannie Riehl of New Hamburg, Mrs. Sophia Cossey of Shapespeare; two step-brothers, Robert Eichler of Shakespeare and Lewis Eichler of Buffalo; also survived by 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Resting at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, until 10 a.m., Saturday, when removal will be made to Holy Family RC Church, New Hamburg, where requiem mass will be offered. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James Miehm will officiate.
