Meda Maxine Baxter, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 16, 2023. Born on June 8, 1930 in Morgantown, KY to William and Altha Givens.
She attended School of Browning in Butler County, Kentucky. She was a caretaker for several children and she worked at AFNB Bank and Baker and Daniel for 40 plus years. She was a member of the Sahara Grotto and Morris Street Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Shirley Boswell and Jolene (James) Collins, son, Danny ( Cheryl) Fultz, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren and her brother Roger Givens. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Troy Baxter, her daughter, Geneva Fultz and 4 siblings.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00PM - 6:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:30 AM. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park North Cemetery.
