Robert McKinley Young of Fairfield passed away on Nov. 9, 2023, in Waco. He was 96.

Robert and his wife of 75 years were originally from Muskogee, Okla.

He served in the military as a Corpsman in the Navy. Robert is survived by his wife, Alpha Marie Young; his two sons Robert Michael Young (wife Jin Sun) and Jeffrey Lynn Young (wife Brenda); six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He served in the Navy as a corpsman at the end of WW-ll. Memorial services will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery 11-28-23 at 2:30 pm.

Memorial services will take place at Fort Gibson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla.
