She married Andrew Conti; later divorced. She married Doyle Cartner.
She loved her family and grandchildren, and playing the organ, piano, and guitar. Ruth was employed by the State of Utah.
She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary where she received an award for lifetime achievement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and companion.
Ruth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 1998 at her home in Magna, Utah.
Ruth left to cherish her memory her husband, Doyle; children, Shawna (Jeff) Beaudry, Andy Conti Jr., Pat (Troy) Morganson, Cathleen (George) LoCoco, and Barb (Tony) Walters; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Kurt Jensen; and sister, Flo Shosted. She was preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Conti Bateman and grandson, Greg Carrell.
Committal Services were held on Thursday, March 26, 1998 at 12 noon in the Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City, Utah. Family and friends attended a visitation on Thursday morning from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the Peel Funeral Home located at 8525 West 2700 South in Magna, Utah.
