Garland Franklin Meadows, 93, a resident of Elkton, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Page Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Meadows was born on June 21, 1930, in Page County and was a son of the late William Buzz and Reda Ann Rinaca Meadows.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his siblings, Iris E. Rimel, Carroll J. Meadows, and V. June Means.
On December 30, 1967, he married the former Janice Marie Young who preceded in death on July 30, 2013.
He served in the United States Navy.
Pastor David Burrell will conduct a funeral service on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Solsburg. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites by the Dayton American Legion Post 27. In honor of his dedication to WRE, memorial contributions may be made to Weekday Religious Education, PO Box 835, Harrisonburg, VA 22803. McMullen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
