"Miss Ruth Carolyn Carter, 48, of Marblehead, Mass., formerly of Shawnee, died Tuesday at her home. She was born in Merriam [sic] and had lived in Johnson County until moving to Mablehead four years ago. She was a secretary for Trans World Airlines 30 years. Miss Carter was a member of the Unity Temple on the Plaza. She was a graduate of Stephens College, Columbia. She leaves two brothers, H. Houston Carter of Shawnee and Arnold B.
