Tony J. Vracarich, age 61, of Myerstown passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Lebanon on April 10, 1962 a son of the late Samuel and Sara E. (Reiter) Vracarich.
He was a 1980 graduate of ELCO High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1980 to 1988, having earned the rank of Sergeant.
Tony last worked at the Lebanon VA Medical Center and previously was employed many years at A.W.I. in Robesonia.
He was a member of Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon. He was a former member of the Mt. Aetna Fire Co., Myerstown V.F.W., Richland American Legion, Newmanstown Athletic Assn., and the Strausstown Rod & Gun.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of music, especially the Grateful Dead, love of all sports, and formula one racing. Tony was a generous contributor to many causes including the ALS Association.
He is survived by a brother, Thomas R. Zimmerman (Donna); nieces, Audrey Ferguson (James) and Julie O'Malley (Kevin); great nieces & nephews, Alicia, Travis, Lauren, and Thomas; and cousins, Carol & Lara Vracarich and Chris Hoffman (Denise).
He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey J. Zimmerman; a nephew, Ty Reiter Zimmerman; and cousins, Thomas and Toma Vracarich.
A Graveside Service with Military honors will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Myerstown.
