Donnie Dean Brown, age 86, of Delbarton, West Virginia departed from life on November 11, 2023 while at Tug Valley Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky. Donnie was born March 30, 1937 in Delbarton, West Virginia to the late Troy and Edna Vance Brown. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers George, Raymond, and Brock Brown and his sisters Matilda Ellen Bailey and Lorraine Blackburn.
Those left behind to honor his memory include his sister Dollie Coleman, his brother Dennis Brown and his wife Sandra, his sister-in-la Kathy Brown, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Donnie was an avid and beloved member of the Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church. He worked for around 30 years in Delbarton, West Virginia at the furniture store, only to leave when it closed down. Throughout his 30 years of working at the furniture store, he gained countless friends. During his lifetime, Donnie loved being outdoors and taking walks. He was compassionate and caring towards everyone he met and was loved by so many.
Funeral services will be held at the Rockhouse FWB Church on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 am. The service will be led by Rev. Scott Erwin and Brother Doug Erwin. Burial will be to follow, taking place at Lenore Memory Gardens in Lenore, West Virginia.
