Mrs Amelia (Herron) Hibbs, 87, of 1123 E Converse Ave died at 10:30am Monday at St John's Hospital, where she was admitted six weeks ago as a medical patient. She had been in ill health for 10 years.
Mrs Hibbs was born in Springfield, the daughter of Henry and Martha Stuby Maurer. Her husband, William H Hibbs, died in 1933.
Surviving are one son, John Herron of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs Ralph Keneaster of Springfield; two step-daughters, Miss Mabel Hibbs and Mrs Emily Davis, both of Falmouth, Ky; five grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
The body is at Kirlin and Egan Funeral Home.
