Mr. James "Jimmie" Glenn Griffin, Sr. age 84, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, November 10, 2023. Jimmie was born in Lyles, Tennessee on September 4, 1939 to the late Buford and Clara Bentley Griffin.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Griffin, Doyle Griffin, and Charlie Griffin; sisters, Geraldine Griffin Turman and Margie Griffin Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Luther Griffin; son, James (Malinda) Griffin, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany (Rob) Horton; grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Kriesky, Trent Griffin, Trevor Horton, Erica Horton, and Victoria Griffin; great-grandchildren, Lynnlee Kriesky and Griffin Kriesky.
A Service celebrating Jimmie's life will be held Wednesday, November 15th at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville. Tommy Marvin will be carrying Jimmie back home to the Luther Family Cemetery in Dickson, Tennessee following the service. Pallbearers will be Trent Griffin, Trevor Horton, Tim Johnson, Rocky Bowker, Keith Bowker and Matt Kriesky. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 14th from 5:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday, November 15th from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.
