Reidsville - William Nelson Wheeler, the beloved husband of Rosa Hodge Wheeler, departed this life on Monday morning, February 22, 2021. Born on August 12, 1953 in Reidsville, North Carolina, he was the offspring of the late Lovie Wheeler and Earl Johnson. He moved to Washington, D.C. at an early age and attended school. After graduation from Eastern High School, he pursued studies at the Police Academy in Washington, D.C. He served in the United States Navy for four years and also the National Guard for eight years, during the Desert Storm Conflict. He married the love of his life, Rosa H. Wheeler on November 21, 2017 and was a retiree of the Ball Corporation, after 35 years of service. "Bill", as he was affectionately referred by family and friends, lead a very active and faithful life of Christian service and traveling. He loved his beloved wife, Rosa, family, friends and babies to the most high. His arms were always opened to help any and everybody. Bill was the most faithful Brother of the Saint James Lodge No. 138 F&AM (PHA) in Eden where he will be truly missed. He was a devoted and committed member of West End Baptist Church in Reidsville where he served as Chairman of the Trustee Board, member of the Choir and anywhere else he could serve. A soldier that we know God said, "Well Done Bill".
