Judith Rote Lockwood, 78, of Collinsville, wife of the late Alfred Lewis Lockwood, died Sunday, September 17, 2023 at John Dempsey Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1945 in Hartford, daughter of the late Dewey Hobson Rote and Marion Bertha (Henry) Rote and had been a lifelong resident of Collinsville.
Mrs. Lockwood was a 911 Dispatcher for the Town of Canton for 26 years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Winsted, the Town of Canton Historical Museum, the Cawasa Grange, the Rebekahs and the Collinsville VFD and Canton Memorial Ambulance.
Judy enjoyed spending time gardening, knitting, painting, playing games, watching the Red Sox and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Lockwood of Unionville, Marilyn Fay of Collinsville, Dewey Lockwood and wife Janet of Twinsburg, OH and Tammie Lockwood and partner Ray Ross of Bristol; her step daughter, Millis Buckley of Torrington; her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Rote, her brother, Arthur Rote and a granddaughter, Brynn Fay.

Calling hours and a funeral service were held at the Vincent Funeral Home in Canton.
Burial was in the Village Cemetery in Collinsville.
