Our sweet, sweet Angel, Daniel Taylor Alvis, was taken home to his loving Father on September 21st, 2009. A service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday September 25th, 2009 in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Dr. Phil Christopher presiding. Services are being handled by Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.

Daniel was born on December 25th, 1990 in Abilene, Texas to John and Susan Alvis. He lit up this world from the day he was born. His smile and personality made him a joy to be around. In many ways, Daniel was the mascot of our family and as colorful as they come. He will be deeply missed and remembered not as a broken human being, but as the vibrant soul who longed for a shepherd. He found the only true shepherd this world has ever known, so the way we see it is......what a lucky sheep.

Preceding Daniel in death were his great-grandparents John and Vera (Bedie) Alvis; his grandparents Robert (pop) and Patricia (Menie) Alvis; two uncles Robert Alvis and Jesusa Ochoa. He will forever be remembered by those who survive him, his parents Susan(Shue) and John H. Alvis II; brothers; Grandparents; Aunts and Uncles, and many other extended family members and special friends.
