Kim Arlen Nine, 66, Nappanee, died 5:28 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at his home. He was born May 23, 1952 in Plymouth to Morris & Dorothy (Oswald) Nine.
Surviving are his children, Jamie Stouder, Nappanee, Kimberly (Brant) Ehret, Goshen, Brant (Francie) Nine, Nappanee, Ashlie (Kent) Freed, Bourbon, Kelly (Myken) Moore, Alexandria, grandchildren, Morgan, Jessy and Emily Stouder, Everly Jean Ehret, Cecila Miller and Hutch William Nine, Clayton, Katie and Case Freed and one on the way, great-grandchild, Abel Szlanfucht and one on the way, partner and best friend, Amy Farrell, Nappanee, and siblings, Tina and Sandy, California.
Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings, Butch (Brant) Nine, Daniel Nine, Douglas Nine, Cherlene Mast and Norma Jean O'haver.
Kim worked at the Nappanee Street Department, retiring in June 2017, after 28 years.
A Celebration of Life will be 1-5 p.m. March 2, 2019, at the Nappanee Street Department, 841 Wabash Ave., Nappanee. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Legion, Nappanee.
Dad will be remembered for his early morning risings, love for wildlife, and his spontaneous generosity. He stuck to his routines, but was always willing to make time for anyone. He especially loved his kids and grandkids. We will miss him dearly.
