The Effingham County native was a graduate of Rincon School and had retired from Maas Brothers/Jordan Marsh Department Store.
The many things in life that she loved included her family (especially holiday get togethers), her church, the ladies quilting group that she met with for many years, her volunteer work at the Manna House, and the Blood Mobile blood drives. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and any yard work that involved holding a rake!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Corley Altman, and daughter-in-law, Tina Jarrell Altman.
Survivors include her children, Wanda Sue Beasley (James) of Satsuma, AL, Terrell Wayne Altman (Nancy) of Springfield, and Wendell Neal Altman of Guyton; one granddaughter, Tiawna Nicole Altman of Hortense, GA; "Bonus" grandchildren, Ian "I.J." Hoff (Melissa) of Spanish Fort, AL, Erin Hoff Horrocks (Ray) of Dundee, Oregon, and Amber Favre (Rick) of Richmond, TX; 5 "Bonus" great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation: 11 am – 12 noon Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 12 noon Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery at Ebenezer.
Remembrances: Manna House Ministries.
