Marjorie was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Port Huron, Michigan, a daughter of Robert and Vera (Meyers) Elliott. On June 18, 1949, Marjorie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert Abram, in Detroit. Together the couple established a loving home and raised their family in Hubbard Lake. Marjorie was particularly proud of having raised seven children together with her husband Bob as well as being a devoted member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She was active in her parish helping out with various activities and functions. In her leisure time, Marjorie enjoyed gardening and getting together with friends. She especially liked playing scrabble with her best friend, Dot. Her relaxation in the evening after a full day was watching a TV show or movie. Following retirement, Marjorie and Bob enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. They socialized with many friends and family wherever they went.
Survivors include her children, June (Ron) Johnson of Nashwauk, Minnesota, Carol (Joe) Edwards of Cookeville, Tennessee, Sally (Clovis) Fortin of Lake Linden, Michigan, Mary Jack of Cornelius, North Carolina, Doreen (Steve) Balbierz of Marquette, Michigan, Rob (Nancy) Abram of Alpena, Michigan, and Kristen (Edward) Griffiths of Key Biscayne, Florida; many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Elliott.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abram on Nov. 9, 2010; sisters, Laureen Toth and Mary D'Ortenzio; brothers, Michael Elliott and Patrick Elliott.
