Donnie C. Adams, age 78, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on Thursday, Aug 24, 2023 after a brief illness.

Donnie was born on June 23, 1945 to the late Simon Adams and Susie Robinson Adams. He was a member of The Chapel Church in Trinity. FL. Donnie was a very talented singer/songwriter, and co-founder of the original gospel group the Adams Family, as well as other country music bands, where he was the lead singer.

He is survived by one daughter, Leslie (and Brian) Wallen of Hamilton, OH; one sister Juanita (and Steve) Wright of Hamilton, OH; one brother, Russell (and Peggy) Adams of Trenton, OH. Two grandchildren Christa Couch and Casey Couch, and three great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Sue (Gray) Adams; son Kevin D. Adams; his longtime companion Dennis Knapp; his three brothers Elmer Adams, Ernest Adams and Charles Adams, and his two sisters Ruth Wallen and Anna Lee Hampton.
