Richard Beverly Noble
February 11, 1947 - September 20, 2023

Richard Noble, 76, of Torbrook Mines, Nova Scotia, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital on September 20th after a short and sudden battle with cancer.

Ric was born on February 11th, 1947 to Homer and Vera (Wallace) Noble in Torbrook Mines.

After graduating with honours from Registered Industrial Accounting, Ric began a career in public service. Ric ascended the ranks and retired as the Director of Finance for the Nova Scotia Provincial Government.

As an avid baseball fan, Ric played for many years as a member of several leagues, the bulk of which was spent playing First Base with the Beaverbank Misfits Softball Team. When he wasn't on the field, Ric could usually be found following the season of his beloved Baltimore Orioles.

Following his retirement, Ric enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and poured himself into his passion for Genealogy. In his later years, he spent a lot of time scouting archive records and graveyards to assist many people around the world.

Ric was an active member of his community, where he sat on the board of the Three Rivers Community Center, supported his local Feed Nova Scotia Food Bank, was a familiar face at the Torbrook Mines United Church where he even tended the grounds for many years, and a proud member of the Mayflower Society.

Ric was predeceased by his parents, his brother Theodore Noble (Diane), and his sister Sara Rogers (Jeff). Ric is survived by his former wife of 30 years Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Gillis) Noble, their children; Kira Noble (Brian MacDonald), Charles Noble (Krista MacDonald), Joseph Noble (Jillian Shebib), Angela Noble (George Bisson); his brothers Malcolm Noble (Anne), Homer Noble (Ron Hopper), Brian Noble (Liz); his sisters Joy Noble, Shari Wentworth (Allan); as well as his grandchildren Mitchell, Tristen, Rylan, Bayden and Layla; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Torbrook Mines United Church Cemetery. A Memorial Reception will be held at the Three Rivers Community Center on October 1st, from 2-4pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guestbook may be viewed and signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
