Dorothy Besier Thurman Baldwin, 90, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2023, in Kerrville. She was born in Fredericksburg, Texas to George and Dora Besier on June 2, 1933. She was married to Foster A. Thurman (divorced) and James Ervin Baldwin (deceased).
Dorothy worked at the VA Hospital for 30 years, retiring at the age of 70. She was a member of NARFE and Notre Dame Catholic Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Ervin Baldwin; and son, James Gary Thurman.
Survivors include children, Frank Thurman and spouse Cindy of Ozark, Arkansas and Janice Lich and spouse Vernon of Comfort, Texas; grandchildren, Joey, Farah, Kari, Jarod, Vance, Travis and Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be 6 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill.
Funeral services will be 10 AM, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
