Hollis Bell Cluck and his twin brother Homer Boone were born on April 24, 1896 in Wilson County, Tennessee to William Bell and Darthula Edwards Cluck. Hollis served in the Union Army during the Civil War where it is believed he contracted Tuberculosis. After the war he lived in one of the Old Soldiers Homes for sick and injured Civil War Veterans. He died at the Legion VA Hospital in Kerr, Texas from Tuberculosis at the age of 32. His body was taken back to his hometown of Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee and he was buried in the Edwards Cemetery.
