Dorothy was born in Colfax, CA to Thomas H. Hatch and Hilda Pear Wylie Hatch.
She is survived by her 5 children, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don Steed and her two younger brothers Wylie Harker Hatch and Thomas E Hatch.
She graduated from Placer High School in Auburn, Ca. As an adult she lived in Sacramento, CA most of her life. She moved to Canon City, CO a few years ago to be close to 3 of her sons. She passed away in Canon City. She loved to golf and was very active in art painting, with several paintings in the art gallery at Placer High School and she helped founding the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in Carmichael, CA.
She will be brought to Sacramento where her interment will be with her husband Don.
