Henry May, son of John May and Thomasine Cross, was a leading church elder in the Henry Ainsworth church congregation in Amsterdam

His wife was Katherine and their daughter Dorothy, b 1597 at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. Dorothy married William Bradford and traveled with him as a passenger of the Mayflower in 1620, where she died on ship (drowned).
