Mr. Carter was born July 29, 1893, in Clay County, a son of Henry C. and Anna M. Wyatt Carter. He married Gladys Blunt in 1920 in Louisville.
He was a member of the Dieterich American Legion, a veteran of World War I, and a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, and a sister, Mrs. Noral Lewis of Altamont.
Services were held in Wright Funeral Home, Dieterich with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Dieterich.
