ROBERT W. PHIPPS
Robert W. Phipps, son of James Phipps and wife was born February 28, 1863 and died at his home south of St. Charles, September 23, 1915, aged 52 years, 7 months and 1 day. Mr. Phipps was born and grew to manhood and has lived here almost his entire life. He was united in marriage to Miss Nannie Bradshaw, October 24, 1894. To this union two daughters were born, Ellen Cloe and Madge.
He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Methodist church. Mr. Phipps will be missed in the home, in the church and in the community at large. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, four sisters, four brothers and a large circle of friends.
Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, assisted by Rev. W. W. Williams and J. G. Vannatta last Friday in the M. E. church and his remains were laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery west of town.
