Allen Palmer Blacker Jr., 63, of Hoffman Estates, IL, died at home on June 6, 2006 after a long battle against pancreatic cancer. A retired physicist who holds many patents for his work, his is survived by his wife Paula, nee Finley; children, Allen (Lisa) of Gilberts, IL, Sue (Andy) Dreys of Lake Zurich, IL, Doug (Mary) of West Dundee, IL; granddaughters, Brittany and Courtney Blacker of West Dundee, IL; mother Catherine Blacker of Stamford, CT; sister Cathy Blacker of Stamford, CT; and brother Daniel of Seattle, WA. Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Funeral Services Pending for Friday morning. Interment Private.
