Jerry Wayne Wolf

Jerry Wayne Wolf, loving husband, father and friend, age 81, of Wild Peach Texas, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023, in his home surrounded by family. He was born in East Columbia to Charlie and Goldie Fay Wolf on Feb 27, 1942. He attended West Columbia school and February 3, 1959, married Lois Ann Buford. Jerry served in the US Navy February 27, 1959 to July 17, 1978, for three tours in Vietnam, had many duty stations including in the far east, a patrol squadron on Whidbey Island, Washington, and several duty stations in Florida and California.

During his time in the Navy, Jerry was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska during the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake, measuring at 9.2, the second largest ever recorded. He was also aboard the USS Okinawa during the fall of Saigon and subsequent evacuation.

Throughout his life, Jerry believed in hard work and putting quality into everything. He did many types of jobs following the Navy. He was a master carpenter and electrician. Jerry passed these talents, as well as integrity and work ethics onto his children. He is also known for being extremely generous and helped anyone he encountered.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois Ann Wolf; sister, Shirley Sawyer (husband, Tom, deceased); sons, Mike (Mary) Wolf, Mark (Vallarie) Wolf; grandsons, Joshua (Rhonda) and Ryan Wolf; as well as four great-grandchildren, Joshua Jr, Logan, Frankie, and Maggie. Extended grandchildren include Nikolas Kollman, Victoria Kollman, Jennifer Anderson, Colby Duckworth (Stazny), Travis Duckworth (Janelle); and great-grandchildren, Matthias, Mabel, Dax, and Koa; close friends, Sherry Gaines, Preacher, and Raul.

He is preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Goldie Fay Wolf; brother, Pete Wolf; and son, Kevin Wolf (wife Sandra, deceased).

Jerry has donated his body to the "Willed Body" program for Science. At this time, there is not a funeral service scheduled.
