Rebecca Ann Cotton, 74, of Terre Haute Indiana, passed away on 10/12/2023 in Frankton Indiana.
Rebecca was born in Terre Haute Indiana to Jack and Betty Thomas on 3/19/1949. She married Samuel Cotton Sr on January 11, 1969, in Covina California. She graduated from Rio Hondo College. She worked as a Nurse for a private home health agency for many years. She also worked at Matel Toy Company where she met Sam. She was involved in crochet clubs and in the earlier years was an avid bowler alongside her husband. She enjoyed spending time reading, crocheting, and Facetiming her family and collecting holiday decorations from Cracker Barrel.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Betty Thomas, her sister and brother in law Janice and George Aztor, Brother John and sister-in-law Pam Thomas, and her younger brother Bruce Thomas.
Rebecca is survived by her husband of 54 years Samuel Cotton Sr, her son and daughter in law Samuel Cotton II and Amy, her daughter Juli Byrum and husband Rob, her grandchildren Andrea and Jon O'Brien, Sammy John Cotton, Weslie, and Jordan Caton, Lauren and Rob Alaniz, Jordan Byrum, Brandon and Adessa Thomas, Taylor and Scott Thomas, and Matt Byrum. Brothers Jerry Thomas and David and his wife, Charlotte Thomas, and 18 great-grandchildren ( Sophia, Rosie, Maggie, Makenna, Cash, Orion, Vincent, Cecelia, Alex, Octavia, Luna, Samuel, Amelia, Klover, Nova Skylynn, Noella, and Ryker.
Visitation will be at 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W 38th Street Indianapolis Indiana.
