Muriel D. Bischoffer of Arlington Heights for 52 years Visitation for Muriel D. Bischoffer will be from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Burial in the family lot following Mass. Born Feb. 14, 1920, in Kenosha, Wis., to Jacob and Henrietta (nee Rademacher) Goebel, she died May 13, 2009, at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Bischoffer was a homemaker. She volunteered at Alexian Brothers Medical Center and Northwest Community Hospital. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Raymond J. Bischoffer; children, Thomas (Darlene) Bischoffer of Huntley, Muriel Ann (Richard) Wilson of Ten Mile, Tenn., Mary (Carl) Jewell of Fox Lake and Tim Bischoffer of San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, two brothers and two half-sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
