Funeral services for Rev. Albert "S.A." Nelson Cummings, 73, will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gary Cavalier.

Rev. Cummings was born on April 26, 1950 to Bernice A. Cummings and Hazel G. Cummings in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Shreveport.

Rev. Cummings was a resident of Shreveport and an ordained minister for 45 years. He was the Chaplain of the Guest House in Shreveport. He served the community in numerous local charities and was also involved in the prison ministry. He was a CDL truck driver and a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the LSU Tigers.

Rev. Cummings is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Hazel Cummings. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Michael Cummings; daughter, Angela Braley and husband, Alonzo; grandsons, Dylan Cummings, Dean Braley and Jacob Braley; God-grandson, Romelus Culpepper (RJ); brother, Ronnie Cummings and wife, Gretna; and sister, Mary Nichols and husband, Rodney.
