Mrs. Lillian C. Kubacki, 87 of Ubly, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe while under hospice care.

Lillian was born on February 18, 1936 in Bad Axe to the late Ira "Ike" and Vera (Franzel) Fisher. She married Elmer Kubacki on February 17, 1953 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Freiburg. He preceded her in death after 48 wonderful years of marriage on January 8, 2001.

Lillian was a graduate of Ubly High School. She was a Jill of all trades, from selling Avon to working at Ben Franklin, Clarks Foodland and finally retiring from Lyntex. She was a parishioner of St. John Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly where she was a member of the Christan Mothers. She was a loyal volunteer of the Ubly Fox Hunters, working side by side with her husband. Raising eight daughters gave Lillian a chance to perfect her homemaker skills. She was known for her scrumptious sugar cookies and whipped them up for many school events and holidays. She loved trips to the casino, reading, dancing and puzzles. Her faith guided her through life and she taught her daughters to thrive the same way. Lillian cherished time spent with her loving family and her love will live on in all of them for the amazing mother, grandmother and wife she was.
