Anita Lynn (Hawkins) Boyer of Dry Ridge passed away on October 20, 2023, aged 72, after a long courageous battle with liver cancer. She was born to Mary Dell Nordwick and George William Hawkins on November 1, 1950. Anita graduated from Greenville Ohio HS early and began her 50 year long nursing career. Starting as a candy striper, she received her RN from Northern Kentucky University, and then a BA in Psychology in 1987. She retired in 2020 from Gateway Rehab Center in Florence KY. She was united in marriage on February 14, 1969, to Frank "Nev" Boyer who predeceased her in 1982. She leaves behind her two daughters Holly (Tony) Camacho of Crittenden, KY and Lynnette (John) Bills of Connersville, IN, her 5 grandchildren, and 1 sister Judy Barber of LaGrange, KY. Visitation Wednesday October 25, 2023, for friends and family will be at Alexandria Funeral Home from 11:00 am until time of funeral service. She will be laid to rest at Mt Gilead Cemetery, Carthage, KY.
