TAYLORSVILLE BOY PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Arthur Young, only son of Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Young of Taylorsville, passed away Monday at the home of his parents after a long illness. The boy had been an invalid for some time and it is only quite recently that slight improvement was gained, which enabled him to be up and about in an invalid chair. Everyone knew him as Arthur and he had many friends who enjoyed visiting with him to while away the hours that hung so heavily upon his feeble health. He was 21 years of age and his clean life and splendid spirit was an inspiration to everyone and while suffering he did not fail to smile. Even in his last moments when he was too weak to talk, his face lighted up with a sweet smile as he looked with joy upon the face of his Master, while walking down through the Valley of Death up to the mountain top of Peace and Happiness.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the Taylorsville cemetery, where friends from all parts of the valley gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to the departed young man. The choir rendered sweet music for this solemn occasion and Reverend Fisher, who conducted the services, spoke in words of tenderest sympathy and comfort of deepest Christian hope and promise.
