Deaths.
WOOD – At the family residence, one mile north of Kappa, last Sunday, of lung fever and a complication of diseases, Mary Jane Wood, aged 42 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Deceased was born April 11, 1851, and was married to William H. Wood September, 12, 1869. Of this union ten children were born, whom, together with the husband, are left to mourn her loss. She was a consistent christian, and in her last illness expressed the thought that if it was the Lord's will that she must die, she was willing and was not afraid. The funeral services were held at the Christian church, two miles north of Kappa, Monday afternoon, and interment was had in Sprinkle grave yard.
