Affectionately known as Binks by many, he took great pride in his grandchildren, Henry, Will, Max, Sally, Ruby, and Murray. Binks is also survived by his siblings Rick (Karen) Armstrong, Clyde (Wendy) Armstrong, Davitt (Susan) Armstrong, and his sisters-in-law Barbara Marquardt and Ann Wescott, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dale was a global leader in the automotive plastics industry, enjoying a career that spanned 45 years, the last 21 with Teijin Automotive. He devoted his time and energy to, "doing things the right way," leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
Music was Dale's jam. He loved it loud and was the first one on and the last one off the dance floor. His love for the outdoors began at a young age while spending time with his family at Solid Comfort Fishing Club on the French River in northern Ontario. He was an avid skier and cherished the time he spent out west on ski trips with family and friends. Dale was a passionate sports fan and loved cheering for all his children, as well as the Red Wings and Steelers. Dale loved tennis and golf and approached both with enthusiasm.
Dale will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a good neighbor, a dedicated co-worker, and a loyal and fun friend. His warm and friendly nature touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 21st, from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 am at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, located at 705 W. Eleven Mile Road (4 blocks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak. For those unable to attend, the services will be webcast.
