Mrs. Charlotte Metzler, 77, of Freeport, passed away at 6:35 p.m., Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 peacefully at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
Charlotte was born in West Tarentum, PA on May 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Dudley B. and Alice B. (Burrank) Christman. She was the widow of Floyd W. Metzler who passed in 2004
She was employed as an operator at North Pittsburgh Telephone Co. and Bell Telephone Co. for 15 years. She had also worked for Camerlo's Deli in Freeport for over 20 years.
Charlotte volunteered for many years with the Freeport Meals on Wheels. She helped with her church's newsletter and was very active in all church functions. She enjoyed listening to music, reading and playing with her granddaughter, Sam.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Louis Silliman, Jr. of Freeport;
Her granddaughter Samantha L. Silliman of Freeport A brother David R. (Josette) Harbison of DuBois and her sister Joyce Varhola of Butler; Half-sister Bonnie Walters of FL. and half-brother Jack (Janet) Walters of Natrona Heights.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her half-sister, Patricia Slimick.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Freeport, at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 24th, with Rev. James F. Neal officiating. Private burial service will be held in Freeport Cemetery Freeport, PA.
