Fern P. Duvall

Fern P. Duvall, 55, a former Huntingdon County resident most recently living at 4140 White Birch Drive, West Bloomfield, Mich., died 2:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 1977, at Lynn Hospital, Lincoln Park, Mich.

He was born in March, 1922 [14 March 1921], in Huntingdon County, the son of the late John and Bertha (Park) Duvall. He married the former Bernice Mintus. She survives.

Also surviving are the following children: Lawrence J., Fern P., II, Michael J., Collette M., Cheryl A., Therese L., and Abbie Lynn.

The following brothers and sisters also survive: Beulah Ridinger; Eugene; Amer; David; Jeneda Hatch; and Violet Eichelberger.

He was a business administrator at Lynn Industrial Clinic in Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Novi Chapel of the Ted C. Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, Mich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday from the Prince of Peace Church, Bloomfield, Mich. Interment will be made in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Mich.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:30 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, and on Wednesday from 1 to 10 p.m.

Fern P. Duvall

ORCHARD LAKE – Fern P. Duvall, 55, Orchard Lake, died Monday in Lynn Hospital, Lincoln Park, after a short illness.

He was born in Pennsylvania, and had lived in Port Huron for several years.

Mr. Duvall was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Detroit College of Law. He was employed by the Aetna Casualty Insurance Co., Port Huron, while living in Port Huron.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Terry) Duvall; three sons, Lawrence J., Michael and Fern P. Duvall II; and four daughters, Collette, Cheryl, Therese and Abbie Lynn Duvall, all of Orchard Lake; three brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Ted C. Sullivan Funeral Home, Novi, and 10:30 a.m. in the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, West Bloomfield. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Orchard Lake.

Remains are in the funeral home.
