Robert Earle Barnes, 50 of Upper Marlboro, Md., died Saturday, August 23, 1997 in his home.

Mr. Barnes served in the U. S. Army, as a Captain during the Viet Nam War. He was employed as a Directory of Field Support for the Department of Energy in Washington, D. C. Robert was a graduate of Escambia High School and received his MBA from the University of Dayton, Ohio.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Bill Torres of Alburquerque, N. M.; parents, John G. and Betty Barnes of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Jim Bozeman of North Carolina; and a niece, Summer Bozeman of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 1997 at Pensacola Memorial Garden Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Howard, and assisted by Glen Barnes uncle of the deceased, officiating.

Burial will be in Whitmire Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Bill Ades, Livvie Vann, Boris Musienko, Phil White, Skip Philippi, and Joe Woitecki.

Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call the Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 5 p.m. , until 7 p.m., Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of West Florida.
